Tracking papers from submission to publication
London – 15 October 2021
ICE Publishing is partnering with River Valley Technologies to introduce a new live data visualisation tool. DARVi (Data Analyser, Reporter, and Visualizer) will provide their editorial and production teams with an up to the minute view of their publishing operation, from submission to publication. Driven by article metadata, DARVi ingests information from River Valley’s ReView (submission and peer review) and TrAction (production management) systems to provide a detailed dashboard of operations. The tool also presents data from other sources, like CrossRef Funder Registry and COUNTER, eliminating the need to “create reports”.
Ben Ramster, Journals Manager at ICE Publishing said: “We are delighted to partner with River Valley Technologies to introduce this modern interface for the author, editor and reviewer community. The live data visualisations that DARVi provides will support both peer review and the open-access needs of funders and institutions.”
DARVi is a new system for analysing and visualising data. Publishers, librarians, funders and other stakeholders can see combined data from any number of sources on a user-friendly dashboard, and can fully personalize the output using interactive controls.
DARVi can display and report on and export any data relevant to publishing including the Plan S Price Transparency Framework.
Kaveh Bazargan, Director at River Valley said: “It has been a pleasure to work in partnership with the ICE to bring out the full potential of DARVi, successfully combining data from River Valley’s platforms and ICE’s third party systems.”
